Terms of Service

Welcome to Squiddies. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Squiddies mobile application and related services ("Service"). By using Squiddies, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Squiddies, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

2. Description of Service

Squiddies is a client relationship management (CRM) application designed for tattoo artists. The Service includes:

• Client and contact management
• Project and session tracking
• Appointment scheduling and calendar integration
• Task management
• Reference image storage
• Energy and capacity tracking
• Messaging features

3. Your Account

Account Creation

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Account Security

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@squiddies.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Your Data and Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to Squiddies, including client information, images, and notes. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Licence to Us

By using Squiddies, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to upload any content (including client photos and reference images)
• Obtaining necessary consent from your clients for storing their information
• Complying with data protection laws applicable to your business
• Maintaining backups of critical business data

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Upload malicious software or harmful content

6. Subscription and Payment

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, you will need to subscribe to continue using the Service.

Subscription

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You can cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your billing period.

Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, if you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, contact us and we will work to resolve the issue or provide a refund where appropriate.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Emergency repairs
• Factors beyond our control

We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance.

8. Intellectual Property

The Squiddies application, including its design, features, and code, is owned by Squiddies and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Squiddies is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding any claim

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Squiddies harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. We will provide notice where possible, except in cases of serious violations.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Squiddies after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
